| Who can join? …Membership application Application for membership (10.6 kB) All natural persons, employees and free-lance designers maintaining a professional link with the field of fashion and textile design in Germany and being able to produce a graduation as fashion and textile designer from an acknowledged training unit or at least three years of professional experience as fashion and textile designer. Ordinary members - Newcomers/business start-ups For newcomers, the aforementioned vocational prerequisites are valid. The annual contribution in the first two years of work after graduation and/or start-up of a business is restricted to half the normal amount. Student members All persons training for the profession of fashion and textile designer at a training unit acknowledged by VDMD. Honorary members Following the Board's unanimous decision, personalities who have acquired particular merits for German design professions, can be presented with an honorary membership in VDMD. Promotion membership (20.1 kB) Any natural and legal person and corporation under private and public law maintaining a scientific, political or economic link with German fashion and textile design. They possess all rights of ordinary members apart from the passive right of vote. |
